TERMS & CONDITIONS – DISCOVER COSTA DAURADA SL
1. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions:

Traveler: any person who has made a booking with Discover Costa Daurada SL.

Deposit: the amount paid at the time of booking to secure participation.

Management Fee: a fixed amount of €200 per person, applied in case of cancellation of the trip, to cover administrative and coordination costs.

File Fee: a fixed amount of €50 per person, charged at the time of booking and non-refundable under any circumstances.
-
Force Majeure: any external, unforeseeable, and inevitable event (natural disaster, pandemic, government decision, etc.).
2. Prices
All prices are listed in euros (€).
Package rates are based on double occupancy and include taxes (unless otherwise stated).
For all trips, a non-refundable file fee of €50 per person is required and added to the travel invoice.
3. Booking, Deposit and Payment
At the time of booking, a non-refundable deposit is required:
-
€500 per person for trips with a total cost equal to or less than €2,000.
-
€1,000 per person for trips with a total cost greater than €2,000.
The balance payment must be made 90 days before departure.
If payment is not received within this period, the booking may be cancelled without any refund of the deposit or file fee.
4. Cancellation by the Traveler
All cancellations must be made in writing (email or letter).

More than 90 days before departure: refund of the total amount paid, minus the deposit (€500 or €1,000), the management fee (€200), and the file fee (€50).

Less than 90 days before departure: no refund.
If one of two travelers sharing a room cancels, the remaining traveler must pay the single occupancy supplement resulting from the cancellation.
Trip costs are non-refundable in case of cancellation due to personal reasons, health issues, or political concerns, including government advisories recommending against travel to a certain destination.
Written notice of cancellation must be provided to Discover Costa Daurada SL.
In cases of force majeure properly documented, the deposit may be refunded.
In exceptional situations, a travel credit may be offered at the discretion of Discover Costa Daurada SL.
5. Room Sharing (Twin Share Policy)
For group trips only, with or without air transportation, room sharing is possible but not guaranteed.
We will make every effort to match travelers of the same gender.
At the time of booking, travelers who request room sharing will be placed on a waiting list until a suitable roommate is found.
If the traveler wishes to secure their place on the trip, they must pay the single occupancy supplement at the time of booking if no roommate is yet available.
This supplement will be refunded if we, or the traveler themselves, find another participant to share the room.
6. Booking Modifications
Any modification request must be made in writing.
Changes are not guaranteed and remain subject to availability at the time of the request.
Additional fees may apply, and any increase in cost (accommodation, transportation, etc.) will be the responsibility of the traveler.
7. Health and Physical Condition
It is the traveler’s responsibility to be in adequate physical condition for the chosen trip.
Travelers are advised to consult their doctor before joining an active trip (cycling, hiking, etc.).
Due to the active and adventurous nature of our programs, the participant acknowledges being aware of the inherent risks associated with these activities and accepts them knowingly, releasing Discover Costa Daurada SL from any liability in case of injury, incident, or accident.

8. Insurance
Travelers must purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical care, repatriation, and luggage.
Discover Costa Daurada SL accepts no responsibility for any expenses incurred due to lack of insurance coverage.
9. Responsibilities
Discover Costa Daurada SL acts as an intermediary between travelers and service providers (hotels, transport companies, guides, etc.).
We are not responsible for delays, incidents, or failures attributable to these providers.
In the event of force majeure, we may modify or cancel a trip.
Our maximum liability is limited to the amounts paid.
No refunds will be granted for unused services.
Group Trips:
If a group trip does not reach the required minimum number of participants, Discover Costa Daurada SL reserves the right to cancel the departure no later than 30 days before the scheduled date.
The traveler will then have the choice between

taking the trip in self-guided format, under the proposed conditions, or
-
receiving a full refund of all amounts paid.
10. Traveler Conduct
Travelers must comply with local laws, customs, and safety guidelines.
Any dangerous, inappropriate, or disrespectful behavior may result in expulsion without any refund.
11. Personal Data
Personal information collected is used exclusively for booking management and communication purposes.
All data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
BIKE RENTAL POLICY - DISCOVER COSTA DAURADA SL
1. Purpose of the Security Deposit
As part of the bicycle rental service, DISCOVER COSTA DAURADA SL requires the payment of a security deposit.
This measure is intended to protect the company against possible damage, loss, or contractual breaches, while ensuring a transparent and fair relationship with the client.
The security deposit is a temporarily held amount that serves to cover:
-
material damage caused to the bicycle or its accessories,
-
total or partial loss of the rented equipment,
-
exceptional costs resulting from misuse or failure to comply with the general rental conditions.
2. Amount, Currency, and Payment Method
The exact amount of the deposit is communicated to the client prior to signing the rental agreement.
The deposit must be paid in euros (€) by credit card, bank transfer, or any other payment method accepted by DISCOVER COSTA DAURADA SL.
3. Refund of the Deposit
Upon return of the bicycle and after verification of its satisfactory condition, the security deposit is refunded in full.
In the event of damage, loss, or breach of the rental conditions, all or part of the deposit may be retained in accordance with the general rental terms.
Refunds are always made in euros (€) and for the same amount initially charged.
4. Currency Fluctuations and Bank Fees
DISCOVER COSTA DAURADA SL accepts no responsibility for variations in exchange rates between the date the deposit is charged and the date it is refunded.
If the client pays the deposit in a currency other than the euro, whether through their bank, credit card, or payment provider:

the refund will be made exclusively in euros (€) ,

Any difference in value related to exchange rate fluctuations, foreign transaction fees, commissions, or bank charges shall be the sole responsibility of the client.
5. Acceptance
The validation of the booking and/or the payment of the security deposit constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of this policy.
